Cementitious material activators enable higher proportions of supplementary materials in cement and help increase cement output. In desulfurization gypsum-fly ash binders and high-volume fly ash cement, optimizing the component proportions can improve compressive strength. In blended cements containing slag, phosphorus slag and other materials, activators can help address longer setting times and reduced early strength.
